Agility
Agility is a fast-paced dog sport where handlers guide their dogs through an obstacle course of jumps, tunnels, contacts, and weave poles—working as a team racing against the clock.
There are multiple organizations that you can compete wihin agility. Here are some of the most common ones in Canada

UKI Agility stands for UKI (United Kingdom Agility International). In UKI courses they are more technical and creative often showcasing competitive skills such as layering, discrimination and challenging entries/approaches.
CPE stands for Canine Performance Events
In this organization courses are often simple requiring little technique and skill. It is a great starter venue for new dogs that need confidence building before attending a large show.
AAC stands for Agility Association of Canada. In AAC the courses are similar to UKI, with focus on speed and technical skill.

Agility at NDS
At Niagara Dog Sports we teach all students to a competitive level regardless if they wish to pursue competitions or learn for fun. We feel that by training all agility skills with the same technical skills, dogs are mentally and physically fatigued and have a clear understanding of structure, criteria and expectations which translates to every day life.
Your Agility journey with us at Niagara Dog Sports looks like this:
1. Intro to Dog Sports
2. Agility Foundations
3. Agility 1
4. Agility 2
5. Agility Course Running
6. Intro to Contact Equipment & Weaves
7. Sequencing with Contact Equipment and Weaves
8. International Course Running and Handling
Not only do we train to UKI & AAC skill level, we often as a class enter online UKI trials and in-person competitions. Agility support and coaching doesn't just stop in the classroom, we are happy to join you on course walkthroughs or discuss the course, so you feel confident for your runs.
